Using this website

The website does not include advertising trackers and does not set advertising cookies. Google Analytics runs only if you allow it in the privacy banner. Fonts, images and video are served with the website rather than loaded from social media embeds.

When you open a page, the hosting service receives information needed to deliver it, such as your IP address, requested page and browser information. Hosting services may keep technical logs for security and operation.

Links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy notices.

Analytics, maps and your choice

The website stores one preference named ajsm_privacy_v1 in your browser’s local storage. It records whether you chose essential operation only, allowed Google Analytics, or allowed Google Analytics and the external Google map. It contains no contact details and is not sent with page requests like a cookie.

If you allow analytics, the website loads Google Analytics 4. Google then sets first party cookies named _ga and _ga_<ID> and receives information such as the pages you view, how you arrived, approximate location derived from your IP address, and device and browser details. AJSM uses this only to understand how the website is used, in aggregate. Google Analytics does not log or store full IP addresses. Advertising features and ad personalisation are turned off. If you do not allow analytics, Google Analytics is not loaded.

The Contact page does not load Google Maps until you choose to load it. Once loaded, Google receives the technical information needed to provide the map and handles it under Google’s own privacy terms. You can change your choice at any time on the cookie policy page.

Email brief forms stay on your device

The programme brief builder and the Contact page enquiry form use your selections and text to prepare an email. They have no file-upload feature and do not submit the fields to an AJSM server.

When you prepare or open an email draft, your browser asks your email application to handle it. AJSM receives the information only if you send that email. Your email provider handles the draft and message under its own terms.

The website does not save these form fields to its own cookies or browser storage. Your browser may retain form values through its own autofill or page-restoration features.

Email and phone enquiries

If you contact AJSM, you choose what to share. This may include your name, work email, company, phone number and component requirements. AJSM uses enquiry information to respond, assess the requested work and manage the resulting business discussion.

Your message may need to be handled by the people supporting that discussion and the services used for email and business communication. Records may also need to be kept for an ongoing agreement or applicable record-keeping duties.

Keep the first enquiry non-confidential. Please do not send patient records or other sensitive personal information. Agree confidentiality terms and a file-sharing method before sending restricted technical documents.

Some records may need to remain available for an existing agreement or legal duty. The response to your request should explain any such limitation.
