Essential operation
AJSM’s website does not set advertising cookies, and sets no analytics cookies unless you allow analytics. The hosting service still receives the technical request data needed to deliver and protect each page. This can include the requested URL, IP address, browser information and security events.
Your saved privacy choice
The site uses browser local storage, rather than a cookie, to remember the choice made in the privacy banner. The key is ajsm_privacy_v1. Its value is essential, analytics, all (analytics and the map) or, for earlier visits, external (the map only). It does not contain your name, email address, phone number or enquiry text.
Google Analytics, only with your consent
If you choose Allow analytics, the website loads Google Analytics 4, which sets these first party cookies:
_ga: distinguishes visitors, kept for up to 2 years._ga_<ID>: keeps the session state, kept for up to 2 years.
AJSM uses the results only to understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful and how visitors find the website. Advertising features and ad personalisation are turned off. If you choose Essential only, Google Analytics is not loaded and these cookies are not set.
Google Maps stays off by default
The map on the Contact page is an external service. It is loaded only after you allow external media or choose the map’s load button. Google then receives the information needed to serve the embedded map and may use browser storage under its own policies.
You can use the plain address and external directions link without keeping the embedded map open.
Change or remove the choice
Choosing Essential only stops Google Analytics and removes its cookies. You can also clear the stored data for ajsmmedtech.com in your browser, or block third-party content in your browser. The website’s pages, contact details and email forms remain available without loading the map.
