SURGICAL SEWING SURFACE

The place where the surgeon secures the device.

During implantation, sutures pass through the textile covering to anchor the valve or repair ring to heart tissue. That makes the fabric a functional part of the procedure.

AJSM shapes the textile, controls its coverage and places every seam to match the device drawing.

COMPONENT CONSTRUCTION

Two devices. Two textile constructions.

A sewing cuff is built around a mechanical valve. A fitted textile covering follows the shape of an annuloplasty ring. Each needs its own pattern, coverage and seam path.

Final geometry, materials and assembly follow the manufacturer’s specification.

Underlying form

The rigid valve body is circular. The repair ring is shaped to support the valve opening.

Textile fit

The cuff creates a wide area for sutures. The ring covering stays close to the frame.

Seam path

The join follows each edge and keeps the textile in position.

EUROPE TO INDIA TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

Transfer the method, not only the drawing.

AJSM’s cardiac component programme connects European design intent, process knowledge and practical training with manufacturing in Gandhinagar.

Continuous medical engineering workbench moving from component drawings through assembly tooling to inspected cardiac textile components
Design intent

Geometry, materials and acceptance criteria define the component.

Process knowledge

Preparation, fixtures, sewing and inspection become one repeatable method.

Manufacturing capability

Training and qualification establish the work in Gandhinagar.

MAKE IN INDIA

Our manufacturing base Gandhinagar SEZ, Gujarat

A local capability.
A wider supply chain.

For global device manufacturers, AJSM’s ambition is an additional manufacturing base in India. For India, it is the development of specialist skills and the ability to make more of the components its cardiac care depends on.

To ensure India can make, not just import, the components its cardiac surgeries depend on.

THE MANUFACTURING APPROACH

From the drawing to the finished component.

Material handling, hand assembly, inspection and records belong to one process. We define that process around your component, with checks and traceability built into the work.

CONTROLLED WORKBENCHONE CONTINUOUS METHOD
Current operationDefine

Define

Agree the material, dimensions and assembly requirements with the device manufacturer. Translate them into work instructions for the component.

Prepare and assemble

Prepare, shape and sew the textile around its supporting structure, following the specified sequence and stitch technique.

Inspect

Carry out visual and dimensional checks under magnification, against the acceptance criteria defined for the component.

Record

Record material lots, assembly work and inspection results in the quality system for documented traceability.

THE FACILITY · GANDHINAGAR SEZ, GUJARAT

A controlled setting
for careful assembly.

Our facility is operational and open to new assignments. Set inside a Special Economic Zone, it brings controlled assembly, trained operators and documented quality practices together for medical device component programmes.

PEOPLE AT THE CENTRE OF PRECISION

Skilled hands.
Lasting careers.

Precision hand sewing depends on trained eyes, steady hands and a method learned through practice. Our women led assembly team in Gujarat follows a structured training programme, with operators qualified before working on customer parts.

Our aim is to connect Gujarat’s textile skills with formal roles in medical component manufacturing, with room to grow from operator to senior operator, quality and supervisory work.

WORKING WITH AJSM

From first conversation
to steady supply.

We agree the work in stages: review the part, establish the method, make pilot lots and plan supply. Your team defines the acceptance and release requirements.

Plan a programme

Share the component, materials, volumes and timing. Together, establish the technical fit and the scope of work.

Define the process, tooling, work instructions and training needed to bring your component into production.

Agree pilot lots, inspection records and acceptance criteria so your team can assess and qualify the programme.

Plan ongoing manufacturing, quality reporting and capacity around your demand and release requirements.
